What I do

Short history of mine

1984: Born in Stockerau, Austria

1994: Got my first personal computer, started playing Microsoft Flight-Simulator, my passion for aviation started.

1995: I got connected to the world-wide-web, which was still in it's early beginnings. I was excited.

1999: Started attending Secondary School for Business Administration. That year I created my first website.

2001: I got my driving license which finally enabled me to go where I want whenever I want. That year I also did my glider pilot cicense at the local aerodrome.

2002: I became interested in politics and joined the Austrian School Pupils' Union.

2004: Finished Secondary school and started my alternative service for conscientious objectors (that is something I had to do instead of obligatory military service) at the regional firefighting department. That year I also traveled to Australia for 3 weeks on my own which was the largest trip I had ever done until then.

2005: Finished my firefighting service and later that year I was appointed secretary for political content of the Austrian Pupils' Union. That year I also started studying computer science at Vienna University of Technology.

2007: Attended the European Forum Alpbach for the first time. It's an event where I learned a lot and got a lot to think about. That year I also started learning Mandarin-Chinese.

2009: Spent the whole month of February in Beijing, China to improve my mandarin skills and get to know the culture better. It was a great experience. I wrote an article about my experience in Beijing.
Also, I spent 8 weeks in summer in Prague, Czech Republic doing an internship at PageUp s.r.o.. This was organized through IAESTE. As I enjoyed the work of IAESTE so much I decided to become a member of IAESTE Vienna.

2010: Finished my bachelor's degree in Software & Information Engineering. Spent 6 weeks in Dundee, Scotland, UK to do an internship at the University of Abertay Dundee.
